Fly tying is a true art form and we pride ourselves in having one of the most complete selections of materials and tools that you'd ever find. Naturally, our interest in fly tying runs deep, so we offer classes throughout the year -as well as individual tutorials - to help you get started or take your tying skills to the "next level." Introductory Fly Tying

Our introductory course runs for 5 weeks (one night a week) and is geared towards the beginner or novice fly tyer. Over the course of 5 weeks, we cover all the basics of fly tying including an overview of everything you need to get started and the essential techniques for creating effective flies. Everything you will need for the class is included in the $55 class fee - so all you need to do is show up one night a week!

We keep the class size small (max of 7) so that we can quickly cover a few new patterns each night while not becoming too overwhelmed. The class is taught here at the shop after hours in a low pressure and easy going atmosphere. Please e-mail us or stop in the shop to sign-up.

Private Lessons

Can't make our class or maybe you just prefer one on one instruction? Private lessons are a great way to quickly pick up the basics of fly tying - usually just a couple of hours is all that is needed to get most folks comfortable with the basics. We charge $40 an hour for private or small group lessons (less than 3 people) and prefer to schedule these after our regular business hours.
