Upper Madison - Fri, Feb 25th

It's not any warmer up there than anywhere else right now! Keep in mind that the river closes from Quake Lake to McAtee and Ennis to Ennis Lake at the end of the month. There is lots of ice around Ennis right now - wouldn't float up there anyway right now. Once the weather warms, expect to find some good fish in the section between the lakes starting to eat some egg type flies in addition to the small midge patterns.
