Fishing Reports

Upper Madison - Fri, May 13th

The Upper had been running clear while everything else dirtied up, but the flows are edging up so I’d expect there to be some color to the water but nowhere near the amount in some of the other rivers. From what I’ve been hearing sculpins and stonefly nymphs have been working well. Other small beadhead stuff should be good too. I still haven’t heard of any March Browns up there, which should have been coming off for several weeks now; it’s just been too cold. Maybe we just won’t see them this year, but if they are going to come off then this weekend, with the high temps forecasted, should be the best bet. If you’re already sick of dirty water then the Upper might be your best choice at least for a few days.
