Lower Madison - Mon, May 16th

They spiked the lower this morning and several people have confirmed that it is very muddy. It is also very very windy down there today 30+ mph with gusts close to 50mph. I wouldn’t bother with the Lower until conditions improve. If you did feel the need to fish; however, then make sure you’re using highly visible stuff: worms, flashy nymphs, large-dark stonefly nymphs, firebead nymphs, or yellow or orange streamers.
