Spring Creeks - Tue, Jun 14th

Spring creeks have been one of the better options with all of the high water this year.  Rod space is getting limited though, and prices are $100 starting on June 15th.  Pale Morning Dun hatches have begun, so have a variety of patterns along.  Dry fly fishing with baetis has still been good on rainy days, but nymphing is the way to go on sunny days.  You can nymph deeper pools with baetis, midge and pmd nymphs along with the usual small worms and scuds.  Sight nymphing runs with un-weighted mayfly nymphs can be effective on sunny days.  Small streamers and leeches stripped through deeper pools can pick up some larger fish.
