Lower Madison - Tue, May 10th
Flows remain stable on the Lower Madison for now, and the water is a green color with plenty of visibility for nymphing. Baetis have been coming off with a few small fish rising to them in the dirty water. Caddis will really get going with the warmer weather, so hopefully the clarity will improve enough for dry flies. For now the best bet is to nymph with some crayfish, worms or buggers trailed by a mayfly, caddis or maybe some kind of pink tailwater patterns. Streamer fishing has also been decent at times with the stormy weather.
