Lower Madison - Thu, Jul 14th
Fishing in the Lower hasn’t been great, but it has been reliable. The flows like everywhere else are still unseasonably high but they’re not so high that the fishing is suffering. Most fish are being taken on crayfish, sculpins, worms, and small flash beadheads. Fish will be holding closer to the banks or out in the old buckets if you know where they are (it’s kind of hard to identify them now in the high water). Streamers should also work close to the bank, especially in the evenings.
