Yellowstone River - Sun, Jul 31st
I’m talking to more and more people that are trying various floats on the Stone. Fishing still isn’t good over there, unless you can get right on the banks with stonefly nymphs, but expect to lose plenty of flies. Flows are barely above 9,000cfs right now, which is usually when we start thinking about fishing the stone, but 7,000cfs, or just above, is the magic number to look for. At the rate it is dropping the river should just above 7,00cfs in four days or so. Just a little bit longer now!
