Upper Madison - Fri, Jul 8th
The Upper is still dirty below the West Fork all the way through to Ennis Lake. Fishing above the West Fork, in the walk/wade section, remains steady but fairly busy. Visibility is still only a foot or so. Worms and dark stonefly nymphs followed by worms or small bright beadheads have most consistent. Fish are still holding close to the bank so avoid walking in the river as much as possible while keeping things legal below the high-water mark.
