Gallatin River - Fri, Jul 15th
Chris just ran out to check the Gallatin and found the viz to be about a foot and a half. He even got a couple of fish to eat a Stimmy, and saw another better fish eat a PMD. The river is still very high and a bit off color but it’s starting to fish. It won’t be much longer until the Gallatin gives up that spectacular fishing it always does as run off recedes. We’ve also talked with more of our customers that have done pretty well nymphing in the canyon. I know we’ve been saying this on every report, but please be very careful when wading the Gallatin at these flows.
