Lower Madison - Mon, Sep 19th
Fishing on the Lower has been going through a little bit of a slow spell, especially for the great fishing we’ve been seeing on it this year. It hasn’t helped that the wind has been blowing like a banshee for the last couple of days. Hopefully when they quit playing with the flows, the wind dies down a bit, and the fish get used to fall, the fishing will pick back up to where it’s been the rest of the year. Crayfish and sculpins with bead head trailers have been best. The little bead heads have been out producing the big stuff, probably because of all the pseudos that are out.
