Lower Madison - Mon, Jan 30th
The lower continues to be at above normal flows for this time of year, but the water and fish are in great shape for some winter fishing. The wind has been an issue though, so be prepared to deal with some heavy gusts and not much in the way of dry fly fishing unless we geat a break or you find some really well protected spots in the shade. Nymphing with a standard rig and enough weight to slow the drift down a bit in the wind is the difference maker on days like we've had as of late.
