Lower Madison - Fri, Dec 16th
Fishing has been decent on the Lower Madison due to the warm December weather we are experiencing. The water is still cold which means the fish aren't going to swim too far out of the way to eat. Most fish will be holed up in the slower, deeper buckets during winter. Nymphing with worms, eggs and small midge patterns is a reliable way to catch fish now. You may even see some fish rising to midges when conditions are right.
