Spring Creeks - Tue, Nov 8th
Spring Creeks are a good option during late fall and winter. Rates are now at $40 per day, and the fishing is easier without the crowds. Brown Trout are spawning so avoid stepping on redds. Baetis are hatching early in the afternoon with cloudy days being best. Midge hatches are starting to improve and usually come off on calm mornings. Nymphing is the best way to catch fish consistently. Small streamers and leeches will sometimes catch the attention of larger fish. A good selection of dries and emergers will keep the fish interested. Scuds, sowbugs, mayfly nymphs, midge larva and midge pupa are good choices for nymph fishing.
