Upper Madison - Tue, Mar 22nd

The Upper Madison is starting to thaw out.  8 Mile and Varney were open enough to put a boat in, but check ramps before you float.  Worms, eggs, baetis, stonefly and midge nymphs should catch fish in the deeper holes.  Midge dry activity should continue to pick up as the river temps warm.  Remember that Quake to McAtee along with Ennis to Ennis Lake is closed until the 3rd Saturday in May.
