Fishing Reports

YNP - Fri, Jul 15th

The Firehole and Madison rivers in the Park continue to fish well.  The Firehole is still seeing PMD’s in the morning as well as caddis through out the day.  It is getting over 70 degrees in the afternoon/evenings so you may want to restrict it to an a.m. fishery when water temps are in the mid 60’s.  It’s great to have a stream thermometer on you when fishing the Firehole as water temps can very greatly with all the thermal influences in the river.  We’re also hearing reports of PMD’s and caddis on the Madison in the Park, along with the possibility of Grey Drakes in mornings and evenings.  Most of the stuff in the Lamar Valley is still a few days out but should come around quickly with the hot weather we’re supposed to have this week to finish blowing things out.
