Fishing Reports

YNP - Thu, Aug 4th

Pretty much all the rivers in the Lamar Valley are now fishing.  Soda Butte and the Lamar are still higher than we’re used to seeing them this time of year, but the fishing has been good.  You may want to be more prepared to nymph fish than you normally would in that corner of the Park, but you should still be able to catch some fish with the normal big foam rubber leg stuff.  There should still be a few Gray Drakes on Slough Creek in the morning and PMD’s on overcast days.  Take bug repellent if you head to the Lamar Valley.  The biting flies are pretty vicious this year.
